Shayne Smith  -  Managing Director

Shayne is well known to many Funeral Directors through his longstanding involvement with both the QLD & NSW Funeral Directors’ Associations. With 40 years experience in the insurance industry Shayne has filled a number of management positions with major insurers, and has been an owner / director of an insurance brokerage for the past 20 years.

Michael Hansen  -  Director

Michael entered the insurance industry in 1980 and progressed through the ranks occupying various management roles with major insurers in the 1980’s and 1990’s. In 1999 he moved into insurance broking, and became a Director of Insurance Broking Queensland Pty Ltd in 2005.

Elizabeth O’Mara  -  Account Executive

Elizabeth gained her grounding in insurance over a number of years working with a major national insurer. In 1992 she moved to Insurance Broking Queensland Pty Ltd where she has become well known and regarded by both our clients and her industry colleagues. Following the introduction of the Financial Services Reform Act (FSRA) in 2003, Elizabeth has also assumed responsibility for the company’s regulatory compliance procedures.

Ray Kearney -  Account Executive

Ray joined the insurance industry more than 35 years ago and learned his craft “the old fashioned way”. Having occupied numerous underwriting and administrative roles with insurers, he transferred his experience to Insurance Broking Queensland Pty Ltd in 1997. In addition to his client support role, Ray is responsible for the company’s credit control and financial reporting.
